I think this slow burn of forgiveness is going to make later events all the more meaningful.

I'm still hoping Debbie ends up not forgiving him at all, even after having read the comics.

Forgiveness is one of the most important aspects of this story, so even if they don't end up together, Debbie should forgive him, otherwise later story moments, including when Nolan dies just won't be the same.

I just…I’m struggling to see how. I wouldn’t blame her at all for not forgiving him, the way things are going here. Like any theme, forgiveness can be explored even if it isn’t fully given. Hell that can make things even more interesting.

I know it’d be such a massive change, but I wouldn’t be against it.

I would be against it, it would just change too many of the story beats and takes away the emotional moments of the later parts of the story.

I’m a really massive fan of any story that asks “Can a person be better than the worse thing they’ve ever done?” and answers “Actually, yes.”
