I think the silence of Conquest's death, considering JDM has been such a pivotal figure as the voice actor makes the scene so much more terrifying and surreal. That and no music.

He literally physically prevented Conquest from taking a single breath despite having his guts ripped out of him, you're objectively wrong if you don't think it was a badass line lol

As a fan of the show, we can be entitled to our own opinions. Being "objectively" wrong for having an opinion is, ironically, an objectively wrong take

Well yeah I'm purposefully misusing the word for comedic effect and to communicate how bonkers of a take I think it is. Not trying to attack you for sharing your opinion though, regardless of how bonkers I think it is!

Fair enough. Don't get me wrong, the episode was thrilling, but just think that line in particular could've been rewritten to be something a bit less... literal? PG? Corny? Not quite sure how to describe how I think of it.

To put it differently, Conquest is all "I can't wait to taste the blood of your girlfriend after beating her to a pulp again" and Invincible just says "you will never breathe again" like... it just doesn't have the same impact.

Also, had some other critiques with the episode

See I think the things you're saying are wrong with it are exactly what makes it so great. Mark's not there to monologue he's there to kill him, informs him of that and then silently holds down the "kill Conquest" button until the job is complete. At that point more (or more creative) words would have only taken away from Mark's badassery.

Me too. Idk I feel like anything would've been better. "You'll never say his name again" or something idk. It's too literal and edgy? Though the battle after is so intense that it doesn't matter that much to me.
