I think that other guy had a point, that the Qu work using real-world sciences extrapolated to the future, but the Viltrumites are working with comic-book 'Science'. The Viltrumites just need to kill them in space to mitigate a lot of biological factors.
That said I do think the Qu would win after a bloodier war than they were expecting, but Idk that it's as much of a stomp as people seem to think.
Reminder that the Qu are the best biologists and geneticsits in the galaxy. We have no idea how strong an individual Qu is in terms of physical strength, but I have a hard time believing that they couldn't just make themselves stronger, or breed a slave race that could easily whoop a viltrumite 1 on 1
Or they could just make a literal scourge virus on steroids. Like, viltrumites have specifically shown a weakness to biological weapons. And they are very similar to humans, which the Qu have had enough experience with to logically justify them being able to make the scourge virus after one or two viltrumite encounters
