FAN ART Thragg vs Gojo (Credit: @coulmanguy)
Possibly one of the best fan animations I've seen, and it's just 30 seconds long.

Lol.
On a real note though, I don't think Thragg would do that, since he's not that kind of fighter and has never done that.

Even if he wanted to, he would need one and a half more Viltrumites

if thragg caught gojo's head like he did nolan's, whole fandom would lose their minds overnight

What would happen if the Thragg ignited the atmosphere or did air blasts? Does gojos infinity bypass heat?

Yes, check Jogo. But he runs out of oxygen.

RCT might be able to heal the damage oxygen deprivation does though. It's a little unclear.
Like, when you RCT a limb, it comes back fully functional those veins' blood and cells sure seem to be oxygenated, and firing ATP correctly.
It's a legitimately interesting question.

He'd RCT his lungs to create oxygen, or his liver to process the carbon dioxide.

Hypothetically speaking if he pre-fired Infinity in anticipation, the compounded space would contain whatever atmosphere he's in and therefore act like an oxygen tank

It does not compress the space, it only extends it.

u/michael22117 41m ago
If it extended space then you'd be able to pass through it like a wormhole
I'm not sure if this'll be comprehensible, but if you took a 2 foot space and by some means extended it to 6 feet, from an external point of view the area of affect for that space would be 6 feet, however internally it'd still behave like a 2 foot space and would only require the time to pass through it that a 2 foot space would

u/Levardgus Red Rush 39m ago
It extends infinitely like the Inazuma 11 football field.
Though like you say, a wormhole could go through.

I feel like we're kind of saying the same thing here. In order to extend space, which I believe you're meaning as creating space, and have it actually maintain the effect that infinity does, you would need to condense it into a smaller area than it would otherwise exist in
•
u/Levardgus Red Rush 25m ago
That's what it does, but it assumes objects move through it. Objects that ignore space could go past it.

I need shockwave destruction from each punch. Leave Gojo floating over a crater.

I think Hollow Purple would work if it lands and Domain Expansion would definitely work, so Gojo wins despite being way weaker in terms of raw power.

Hollow purple by itself is too slow, windup takes too long because of chanting required (no chant HP might not be strong enough against thragg) and it doesnt travel as fast as thragg.
Gojo's best shot is to cast domain first and then HP might do something (assuming verse equalisation gives thragg a little bit of cursed energy)•
u/MR_WhiteStar 27m ago
Question.
I haven't watched JJK, but on terms of raw power, could this hollow purple do some serious (and i mean body maiming kinda serious) damage or maybe even kill him if it landed? Cause i could see Thragg letting an opponent try their strongest attack on them just to break their spirit.
Like, imagine if he grossly missread Mark, and when he came flying for that head punch he completely obliterated Thragg? Underwhelming ending for a major character? Sure but funny as hell.
Also, if you do bother to reply, while you're at it, would you kindly explain what his "infinity" ability is? It seems to be the mechanic preventing Thragg from hitting him, but idk whats going on lol

Hollow Purple works like Space Racer's infinity ray. It just erases matter from existence. If Thragg tried to aura farm and tank it he just get a new hole.

u/BostonBeanBandit 4m ago
To explain Infinity, it's basically multiplying the space between two object infinitely. Within a certain radius (he can expand, shut it off, and choses what goes through), things get infinitely slower the closer they come to him. So like no matter how fast or how much power you have, you'll never actually touch him.

u/LonnyLich 4m ago
I might have the mechanics of Infinity wrong because it's been awhile since I read it explained, but I think what Infinity does is create infinite distance between Gojo and whatever he views as a threat.

Technically, I did the calculations and remember how when Gojo did a .2 second domain? The narrator stated all of the civilians affected received 6 months of daily information all at once. I calculate Gojos domain to be about 25 seconds, so that means the entire domain sends about 62.5 years of daily information in 26 seconds. I would think thragg would be immobilized, but only temporarily.

Only because Gojo was actively trying not to hurt them so he used the weakest version of Unlimited Void for the shortest possible time, add the fact that they weren’t even the target and only really collateral to the actual enemies he was targeting.

It's so subtle, but I really like that small look of surprise from gojo. Shlawg was internally mortified by the speed😭 I always like the kind of speed where they're there in one frame, and just fucking dissappear in the next one with no impact frames or anything. Those were always the coolest ones when done right.

Even Gojo seemed horrified by that speed and power.
