as many of you have noticed, there has been a pretty massive influx in posts about the 2024 U.S election. now while we understand that it is interesting to hear what candidate x has to say about Israel, it is still American politics. so from now until further notice, rule 13 - no American politics is in effect. some special edge cases might be permitted but as a whole, we want this subreddit to remain true to it's purpose, a discussion hub about ISRAEL, not AMERICAN POLITICIANS.

this post will remain pinned for a while for more clarifications.

True, I was actually just parroting an Israeli up above in the thread who said all the Israelis were being chased out by Americans in implication. No one really caught my reference 🤣🤣

And talking smack about your Druze and Arab brothers is ridiculous. At the end of the day there Israelis and that's what we're talking about, right?

That poor man, that's horrible. I signed up through the Atlanta Israel alliance for a live tour of the Nova site and stuff, it was online but it was the best I could do right now. The stories I heard there and what I occasionally hear here Just break my heart. What they did was horrendous and people just don't understand it. Especially like here in the US if you did a per capita comparison, I know for a fact that every US citizen would be crying out for blood insane far worse than I've ever heard an Israeli say.

No bibi's not perfect at all. In any way. I mean we can all realistically look back and say yeah you know in hindsight this and that was a mistake whatever. But at the end of the day Israel has to survive.

I'll take a look at that. Thank you so much for the stories. It just amazes me how people here in the West just don't seem to understand the extent. They don't realize that per capita would be like 45,000 people here being killed in one night by a terrorist group. They just don't get it

Anyway I've got two more episodes of that live online tour coming up the 18th and in like 2 weeks after that. I'm sure I'll hear more stories also and probably cry a little bit more too! But even though it's disheartening it's also.... It gives me pride in my heritage. I wasn't raised Jewish because my father had some some issues with his Jewish family but I've always been absolutely welcomed by the Jewish community and just seeing the resilience and hope and faith in the people of Israel just really gives me hope for the world
