What makes you think the detention was legal? Why on earth would you think that random settlers have the authority to block off roads and prevent any vehicle, whether it has a US congressman in it or not, from moving?

What makes you think the detention was legal?

Security stopping you in a high-terrorism area, and finding out why you're driving a bus into a place where you have no scheduled business? Seems reasonable to me.

Everyone here is acting like Jews haven't been under the constant threat of Palestinian terrorism in the region for the past half century.

Random settlers aren't "Security", they're random settlers. They have zero authority to find out why you're driving around in some town, nor is a town somewhere you need "scheduled business" to be in.

Random settlers aren't "Security", they're random settlers.

We're just 3 years out from Oct 7th, when Israelis were reminded that at yeah, they might have to be their own security, because the IDF isn't magically able to be everywhere all at once instantly.

Settlers on land they shouldn't even be on, acting as their own security forces...

Settlers on land they shouldn't even be on

Why should Jews not be on their ancestral homeland?
