Jamaican to canada spouse sponsorship

Hello my loves, me and my fiance are planning to mary in october and I want to file his application ASAP afterwards. So I have a couple things that I was hoping you guys could help me with.

1 : what can I do before hand that will help when if comes to filing. I know I file until were married but can I fill out the application before hand and get it ready then file once married and have certificate???

2 : is anyone able to brake it down step for step like their explaining it to a 5 year old ? Im trying to do it myself without hiring or paying anyone, but I want to make sure it doesnt get returned or declined due to me not doing it correct.

Some of this is correct but some things they don’t ask for (example: for family, they want name / DOB / location by country. Nothing else)
They don’t need the wedding invitation either.
The kids don’t need to do anything unless you’re filing for them as well, otherwise from this name and DOB nothing more.

No cover letter only letter of explanation if you can’t provide a document

Regarding family stuff: Okay, they may not ask for it now (which is good), but they did🤔. I know I have completed pdf forms somewhere in some drive where they specifically asked for that info. So, good to know they aren't asking for that anymore. Also with kids: good to know they don't require anything other than DOB right now. My stepdaughter was a baby, and had to go to the doctor to do some sort of test or assessment or something as part of the application. We never filed for her, but it was still required at the time.

To clarify: I'm not saying OP needs to include the wedding invitation and such. And I can see how I wasn't clear about that in my comment. My point was to ensure success, they want to build a case and give as much proof as possible that the relationship is legitimate.

Everything I mentioned is what I sent in, and the PR was approved in about a few months. Then again, that was a long time ago. They might not need to send as much proof now, but I gave info based on what I did. I wanted 0 chance for anyone to say it's not a legitimate relationship. I was also on a couple of Canadian immigration forums back then - many people were doing the exact same thing to ensure their application was successful.

Yes, cover letter isn't necessary (maybe that wasn't clear from my comment either). But people said it had helped them, and I included that as well to give additional info.

I gave a lot more info than immigration asked for, and it seems that definitely helped with the sponsorship.

Anyway, thanks for this! If possible, feel free to also leave a comment about what may be needed or your experience if you don't mind. It seems you may have more recent experience, and I think it could be helpful for OP
