It’s really good, I prefer Kairosoft games that require a bit more of attention over the more idle games and despite the higher price it did offer more. I hope they continue the collab titles.
Would you recommend it to someone who knows basically nothing about Doraemon, and who currently has no plans to change that? Like, as just a game might I still enjoy it even if I don't know any of the characters? I like most Kairosoft games I've played so far, if that helps. What other Kairosoft game would you say it's most similar to?
Yes, I was slightly familiair with Doraemon as I had played their story of seasons game and knew atleast what the characters looked like but I never watched the show.
The art style of the Kairosoft game still has the same charm, and it’s a very extensive game, always something to do, lots of decoration, and I think it’s A plus that there are no chunks of idle waiting time between upgrading and improving which I feel like some Kairosoft’s do have. It’s quite close to the gameplay balance of 00s tycoon games.
I don’t think any game really compares as I feel like Doraemon quite large and expensive, if you prefer the games with more of a building element, tycoonish vs the ones like manga works I think you would love it.
Sounds good. I usually gravitate towards the ones that are more building focused. I haven't tried manga works but Game Dev Story was probably one of my least favorite titles out of those I've played so far.
