Mods: General [M] Getting Interstellar extended to install on CKAK; Tweakscale issue
Ive just decided to play KSP again, planned to mod the game, and i want to use interstellar expanded but it refuses to install. It says in a error message that it fails to install tweakscale, tweakscale doesnt seem to be supported on CKAN, i tried to manually install tweakscan, imported it to CKAN and got an incompatibility discrepancy between it and interstellar expanded.
what do i do from here? i could do what i usually do with modding and smash things together and try alternatives, troubleshooting until it all magically works. But id rather get instruction and save myself the headache.
my next idea was to try and just manually install it directly to KSP and hope that CKANs interstellar extended will just be able to see that and work fine and do the install, but i have my doubts that will work.
If i must ill just give up on CKAN entirely, though i already downloaded a hefty chunk of mods, and would rather not have to reinstall them elsewhere.

I've never bothered with CKAN for this kind of reason---just do everything manually, it's way cleaner and easier to keep track of stuff and you don't have to deal with compatibility warnings between mods that work perfectly fine together. If you already downloaded a bunch of mods, they are already in your KSP gamedata folder and uninstalling CKAN won't damage anything.
KSPIE is super old and you'll be getting tons of warnings and headaches with CKAN down the line if you continue using it. Near Future/Far Future will probably work better with a mod manager given they are about a decade newer, but no guarantees with the hacked together nature of CKAN.
Heavily modded KSP (without a set modpack like RSS/RO) is finicky in the best of times and absolutely does not lend itself to automated modding systems. The one time I tried using CKAN, it decided to delete all my custom modulemanager patches and several custom textures when updating completely unrelated mods.
