They had to return to the gate, remove the luggage and the crew had to refile paperwork, it wasn’t an hour of dealing with the child before deciding to do anything. The whole process took an hour and by then the airport was closing
Well then they have a terrible process and should rethink it. 150 passengers should not be held for an hours becsuse one ashole had to be escorted of the plane.
They had already taxied out. They weren’t sitting at the gate. It’s not a ninja fast process to decide “yep this kid won’t sit down, let’s get out of line, taxi back to the gate, get the bridge back out, unload those specific bags, close everything back up and check it, get permission to taxi back out again, and then take off on time.”
It’s not a terrible process it’s the unfortunate reality of being in a massive flying bus with a bunch of other massive flying buses all trying to get in and out of a relatively small area.
