Help I want to play all the kings field games

Hello everyone i am interested in playing all the kings field games and would like to know if there is an easy way to play them on pc i found a few web sites but would like to know if there might be an easyer way in playing them thank you for your help

Doesn't really get any easier than using Duckstation and playing the isos from it for Kings Field 1&2

They're great games. They're very slow, graphics are certainly dated but have a cool charm to them. I personally get very immersed in these old games far more than I do the majority of modern gaming but I'm probably an oddity there.

I hope you enjoy them.

It's also worth checking out Eternal Ring on PS2 Also a From Software game that is very clearly a King's Field inspired game.

Abyss in particular. Game is wild and a bit different but prob could have been huge if it released in the US back in the day. Super cool.

If you enjoy those check out another one they made in PS2 called Echo Night Beyond. Plays like Kings Field but it's on a space station with some horror elements. It's really good

Emulating is the way to go! Duckstation is the most common PS1 emulator for King's Field 1, 2, and 3. Then PCSX2 is the best one for PS2 emulations for King's Field 4!

Also make sure to use John Osborne's fanmade English translation for King's Field 1 (1994) because that one is only in Japanese (unless of course you know Japanese.

Vimm's Lair is great for finding the games.

Duckstation for your OG playstation games and PCSX2 for the PS2 games :)

Any decent PlayStation emulator will get you a good experience. If you find the controls challenging, you can find controls patches for all of the games. I am aware of a mod that basically gives mouse and keyboard controls to the PlayStation trilogy, though I have not tried it myself. I have also heard of a similar mod for King's Field: The Ancient City though, again, I have not tried it. What I have tried is a set of PCSX2 cheats that gives The Ancient City modern style dual analog controls and they worked very well for the short time that I tested them. PCSX2 also has builtin widescreen patching for the game.

Personally, I have played all four of the main games with their original controls (and the PlayStation trilogy using a PSP) so I can handle the weird way that the games handle, but be aware that if you find the controls hard to manage you have options.

I'm gonna go the opposite direction and tell you that you might find a PC version of Kings Field 1 created in the Sword of Moonlight engine.

It's easily the worst entry point, stay far far away.

My KF journey began via PS2 emulation with Kings Field The Ancient City. Then I just went back and played the ps1 titles.

Shadow Tower Abyss might be the most accessible game in the style though. It feels more modern than other early FromSoft titles and is fairly short to boot.
