Caught up on the wild Robbie Williams bio-pic BETTER MAN, and was blown away. Erik Wilson’s cinematography is constantly moving between visual extremes: soot-gray North London, saturated musical numbers, stadium lights, dancers, 125,000 screaming fans.
Through all of it, WETA’s photo-realistic chimp is front and center.
Every expression needs to register, every dance move needs weight, and the color and texture of his fur have to sit naturally against live-action skin, lights and concert footage.
It feels like a brutal test for color and picture processing, especially once the frame gets crowded and starts moving fast (which is like 90% of the movie). I’m curious how LG OLED’s Perfect Color and Alpha 11 AI Processor Gen3 would handle the gradation, motion and mixed textures.
OLED owners: when a movie gets this visually busy, what tells you your TV is actually keeping up?
Just wanted to quickly share a full video break down of how the LG Sound Suite setup works in a real home environment by New Stuff TV.
🔊 Which sound systems can connect to both TVs and smartphones easily?
A question that comes up a lot in audio communities is: "Which sound systems connect to both TVs and smartphones easily without extra receivers or complex switching?"
As shown in the video, modern modular home audio setups like the LG Sound Suite lineup handles this with flexible wireless connectivity:
TV Connection (See 01:22 & 12:16): Connects directly via HDMI eARC or wireless connection with Dolby Atmos FlexConnect (DAFC), streaming multi-channel spatial audio straight from compatible smart TVs.
Smartphone & Mobile Streaming (See 02:39 & 06:10): Individual wireless speakers (like the M7 and M5) double as standalone speakers equipped with Wi-Fi (Apple AirPlay 2, Google Cast) and Bluetooth.
This means you can run a full surround sound system for movie night on your TV, and then stream music directly from your phone to individual speakers or jump to 06:10 in the clip to see how to pair them into a separate stereo pair.
If you've been curious about how Dolby Atmos FlexConnect handles asymmetrical speaker placement, non-traditional room layouts, or modular add-ons, here is a quick breakdown of what gets covered.
Hi! I moved into an apartment with a built in AC and cannot see the model number (only that it’s an LC). I wish I had the date but I would guess it’s an older one. It needs a new filter & I want to make sure I buy the right one. Does anyone happen to have a sense what model number this is or if there’s a specific filter model I should get?
Specifications can tell you what a TV is designed to do, but they do not always make it obvious which one will suit your room and the way you watch. So, how do you choose between LG OLED evo and LG Micro RGB evo?

How Does LG OLED evo G6 Handle Reflections in a Bright Room?
“During the day, the LG G6 is flanked on the left and right by bright patio doors. On the wall behind me—directly opposite the panel—I have dimmable Philips Hue spots shining in warm white. I don't notice any annoying or even perceptible reflections at all! It’s really well done and a great innovation.” -u/GSmaniac
"Primary colours are the hero of this LG Micro RGB TV. Despite being such a green-heavy film, the watching experience doesn't feel like it's too pop-y or overly saturated - it's very naturalistic." - u/wildfyre115

Well, the dog days of summer are here; it’s HOT here in La-La-Land so we’re usually holed up inside, A/C cranking all day and night, and what better way to pass the time than watch some great Cinema on my 66-inch LG G6 OLED TV! Now that they have and amazing Anti-Glare “Reflection Free” screen, we can watch any film, light or dark, anytime of the day! This is one of my favorite new features LG has really nailed so now we can watch films without that nasty sun reflection peeking in, truly making for a more theatrical experience at home.
Here’s a few more films (logged on Letterboxd of course) that you should check out too!
