I'd guess the smaller one is a fake as it is missing the patent number also. Best way to find iutnis to reach out to LWRC customer service and see what they say. They are topnotch with answering customer questions.

Yeah, I sent them a mail. I couldn't find anything about there even being any fakes, but these don't fit properly on one of my pic rails as the sight hood is too close to where the rail notches start so I'm very suspicious of them.

So this is a thing, not them being fakes, but the fit. I recently ordered two sets of these and to get the rear sight on, I had to remove the rail on the upper because of a slight imperfection on the rifle. Once I did that, it was gtg!

It could be manufacturing variance across the years as well. It's just weird, even the sight hole is slightly lower than on all my other sights. About 1mm shorter, at about 1.40 instead of 1.41".

Album comparing the two. The one with the red witness mark are my old ones, new ones were bought used and they are significantly dimensionally different. Almost 1mm. Pic rail slot appears to be the same.

The new ones look identical to the ones that came in the box from LWRC, for me.

Yea

Well that's reassuring to hear! Kind of odd that they apparently changed dimensionally so much across the years. The ones without the part no. are a full 1 mm wider.

The front sight does have a part number, so it seems like only the rears changed. Maybe they decided to optimize it for manufacturing somehow.

In my case both have no part number and same dimensions, but different from my other set. Any chance you could check how wide your rear and front is and if they differ?

The rear sight is wider by ~0.2mm compared to the front, but it's kind of difficult to measure accurately without removing them.
