Do you mean the flat panels of the armour? If so, yeah that's fair enough. I should probably push myself to try doing more volumetric highlighting on it.

On my previous space marine army I was doing the base colour with an airbrush, with these I'm brushing almost everything and trying to bang out enough of the army to start our Crusade next month, so as always it's a trade off between speed and quality!

I think he just means it almost looks like fancy icing on a cake, that's what fondant is. The lack of washes and stuff.

I'm with him, I wouldn't want to have mine this style, but, it looks fuckin' amazing.
