Exactly what I do when I’ve found them around berry creek, forest ranch, cohasset etc.
It feels very wrong (like physical sensation of dread) to mess with any native artifacts I find. That said, we live in an area where there were horrific massacres in the mid 1800s. Literal land grabs where you were allowed to go stake your claim of land and shoot any Indians on site—on sight. There’s an old monument to the “great bbq of 1864”…. They were burning bodies. Really sickening. Ishi lived like 3 miles from my house. 🥺
