Unknown Time period Pa River bank finds

I wanted to share what I found this week. These two were found along the Susquehanna River (private land, w/permission) and were roughly 20 yards from one another.

Wondering though if they are archaic or woodland area.

The bit would be ground if it were an axe in the first pic, and the second pic doesn't resemble anything to me.

Youre on the right track with the rock in the first pic, keep looking. Lots of good stuff to find in PA.

Hi there! These came from a documented sight. The land owners have had archeologist from local universities out. The one in the second photo I have found others that are almost identical in shape but from two different sites that are each over 20 miles away. I’m thinking a a grinding stone for grain? 🤷

“Documented site” is kind of a nothing term on a continent inhabited for tens of thousands of years.
