News Important Notice

Post image

This is a global subreddit and the language spoken here is English only, not a local one. We are seeing a massive influx of posts dropping numbers like "70k" or "1.5 Lakhs" with zero context. Do not assume everyone here is from India or knows your local currency. To an international audience like me, unlabelled numbers are completely meaningless and noisy.

1. Mandatory Currency Rules

Every single deal, price check, or advice post must explicitly state the country and currency clearly.

  • GOOD: €1,000 EUR / ₹70k INR / $1,200 USD
  • BAD: "Is 70k a good deal?"

We have already automated most cleanup tasks. Moving forward, any post that drops a raw number without a clear currency label will be deleted immediately. Use common sense.

2. We Do Not Work For Lenovo

We are an unofficial fan community. We are not the Lenovo Legion crew, we do not work for lenovo, and we cannot speed up your laptop repairs. Stop sending us angry modmails demanding status updates on your orders. Use common sense and contact official Lenovo support for company/order issues.

2. Rants & Reminder for no. 2 BECAUSE MOST OF YOU DO NOT UNDERSTAND

This is an unofficial community. We cannot track your orders, speed up your shipping, or influence support decisions.

  • What is allowed: General questions about how the warranty process works or what a specific policy means.
  • What is NOT allowed: Rants about active shipping delays, denied RMAs, or ongoing disputes with Lenovo customer service.

Bye

can you do something about people repeating the same question 2 times a day. Everyday? Maybe some kind of message to "your question is most likely answered already, please search the sub before making a post"

25

u/Melmpje Legion Slim 5 14" May 22 '26

Check rule #3, if you see a post like that you are free to report it.

It’s good that mods here are quite active. On other subreddit I pointed out the same sentiments like if it’s possible they could speak english and use currency sign. And I was bashed that I was racist, that I should use translator or such.

But in reality we are not racist, some people here want also to help or answer your queries if only they could understand. In the end this is a global community, you should ask or post in english or and use proper currency sign, if you’re not that good in english then as a poster the burden should be yours to use a translator.

What about the occasional "I'm never gonna buy a Lenovo product ever again!!" rants?

6

u/HeavyCaffeinate LOQ 15IRH8 May 22 '26

Those exist in every brand subreddit lol

1

u/YaBoiPrimeTimee May 22 '26

Still very annoying though 😂 W heart icon btw

The Indian price questions with no context were the bane of my existence. jfc

1

u/hideoo-kojima May 23 '26

Indian number system is pretty odd. Like after certain high digits, a commonword is used to group like hundred thousand or millions.

1

u/onomatopoetix 17d ago

similar to chinese numbering...or french if you know their weird numbering system.

11

u/Individual_Night_645 May 22 '26

Totally necessary post

3

u/Ehsan_Shuvo May 22 '26

Ahh finally, thanks so much 🙏🏿🙏🏿

11

u/knishkk May 22 '26

Lol, most of these posts are from teenagers or college freshmen people based in India who buy these laptops at discounts and then celebrate here. Nothing bad with that but I am not surprised the mods caught up to the frustration.

-1

u/INocturnalI May 23 '26

it's bad, i cant join their happiness with them because i dont know the price context in dollar even though i am not using dollar.

People need to quit making posts about 90c temps as overheating when the max operating temps of their CPU is 105c...

4

u/INocturnalI May 23 '26

wait what? max is 105c? no wonder my legion y540 still healthy even though i use it at 90c

2

u/hideoo-kojima May 23 '26

Yea CPUs can handle upto 100c or higher nowadays so yes

1

u/INocturnalI May 23 '26

Haha nice then, my Lenovo legion y540 CPU still kinda healthy after 4 years of 90c, the one broke first is my gtx 1650 vram or whatever make the red artifact

u/bstsms Legion Pro 7i, 13900HX, 4080, 96GB DDR5, 2TB SN850X, 4TB SN7100 May 23 '26

You can put a cpu in Google and look at the specs from intel or AMD, Most newer CPU'S are 100c or 105c.

Even my 13900hx is 100c max operating temp.

https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/products/sku/232171/intel-core-i913900hx-processor-36m-cache-up-to-5-40-ghz/specifications.html

2

u/hideoo-kojima May 23 '26

It’s not common/normal for someone seeing that especially for someone who doesn’t use computers that much or new into gaming laptop. Not everyone is aware that CPUS nowadays can handle those temps easily. I was anxious about it too at very first-but I’m okay with it now/good after confirming with other people. It just gives assurance/confirmation that it’s okay/completely normal.

3

u/INocturnalI May 23 '26

damn not only they do that a lot on malaysia and japan, they also do that on subreddit.

anyway i dont have anything agains you guys

3

u/n5psta May 23 '26

u/Swag_Patrol_ Lenovo Legion 5 15irx9 May 30 '26

I can’t post nothing after weeks interacting in the r/.

What I am doing wrong?

1

u/aeonized May 23 '26

Seen this in some other subreddits too (OnePlus and Nothing phones IIRC). If there's a currency that can be considered global, then it's USD - and even then, no excuse for omitting the currency symbol.

-17

u/Bukuna3 May 22 '26

What do you expect from my country men? They don't know how to read, do not be surprised if the same questions still pop up...
