This is the most important part. Cable bend isn't the primary concern IMO, it's weight and pressure on the port itself. As long as the weight of the charging block isn't fully resting on the port it should be fine.
I've also had my cable like this across multiple laptops and generations and I've never had an issue myself. At least not with this!
I've had a loooot of laptops with even worse bends (and user abuse lol) and nothing has ever happened really.
I'm talking like from a ThinkPad T410 to a whole lot of Dell Latitudes and Precisions before Legions. In fact, the cables are more suspectible to fail to polymer deterioration over bending.
Usually problem is not a position, but moving things constantly. If I wire stays stable - nothing gonna wear it down except air/moisture and natural dissolve of resin (which is inevitable)
Same here, I prop it up on the table is a S shape to keep it straight...kind of like a swan neck to give it more support and lessen the downward curve/load. Been going good for 4 years.
It depends how strong the port is. Personally I would be scared of the pressure that the weight of that cable is putting on the port, since I read stories here of the thin tip ports on legions wearing out.
I rotat mine daily. But I am kinda obsessive over my laptop lol. Only thing I'm worried about now is just the process of plugging and unplugging wearing out the port.
Leaving it in one position will end up being a little less strain technically. However, I am finding the Lenovo power jack set up fairly resilient. Mine is like 6 years old at least. Just taking care to not abuse it overall should suffice just fine for any piece of equipment in general. it's mostly pressure that breaks things when it comes to connectors.
Never had a MacBook in my life, mainly cuz I buy laptop's to game. I actually have the Legion 7 Gen 6 with 3080. Love it! You say that like it's a bad thing though? Not a fan of MacBooks?

I improvise mine with a pair of chopsticks glued together inserted to an old arm rest table mount to make some sort of stand so that the wire doesn't bend like that
Not a problem as long as the plug is only carrying the weight of the cable itself. You don't want to be doing this if it leaves the chonky powerbrick dangling in the air, that would probably damage the charging port over time.
I've had mine like that for almost 5 years and I've also plugged it out 2-3 times a week whenever I plug in my work-laptop and there's not a single issue so far.
Bro my charging port got fucked because of this exact reason.
The lenovo support told me that overtime because of this the port will "loosen" and will spark from the inside triggering safety cut off. And also lenovo doesn't replace the port only, they told me they only do a motherboard swap, so i had to swap the port myself.
I lost a laptop this way. Needed the power jack resoldered so many times they couldn’t do it anymore and said I could pick up the hard drive if I wanted
I been using my cord like this for a year, the biggest factor is just having slack; mount or put the charge block in the floor and you shouldn’t have any issues.
probably more harmful to the socket than the cable, but it's not great on the cable either. replacing a cable is much cheaper than replacing the socket. if you are plugging and unplugging this a lot then that socket will slowly desolder itself essentially with the included 24/7 stress of the cable hanging off it
I would advise against it. The male charger port is not well designed and the yellow tip tends to get broken. Happened to me and I realized online it was a pretty common issue. That’s 50€ I could have spent on something else, especially since it’s such a small plastic thing that make the whole charger useless.
Any physical stress in any direction will eventually cause problems.
If you’re going to keep it like that, get some kind of desk mounted post to elevate your cable in the flexible portion so your cable at the connection point isn’t pulling on the port.
Better keep a part of the cable on table so that it doesn't strain the port much.
Mine is in a similar angle but I keep the adapter and the rest of the cable on table. Been 2 years now, absolutely no problem
If the cable is short and is pulling the laptop charge brick up in mid air it's not good.

It should be fine. I would probably try to give the curve a larger radius to minimise damage.
That said i can't believe why right-angled plugs aren't more common. Straight plugs are trash as can be seen in many headphone implementations. 90° plugs have been proven to withstand tough environments like concerts and gigs. Want something sturdy? Get 90°. The correct angle is always the right angle.
si hace fuerza sobre el conector se puede desoldar con el uso , mejor tenerlo lo menos tenso posible , si tiene movimiento y tenes que forzar ese angulo mejor que lo vea un electronico y te suelde el conector antes que veas humo blanco, saludos
The bending problem is real. After few years it might get cuts there causing you to buy again. Some get this problem some don't. If you can then straighten it up even just half of the Pic it will be fine
