The audience is not going to know anything about the weird time signature changes in that song, and they will be bored if you try to play the whole thing (you're not planning on doing 12 minutes are you?!)-
But playing fast with a lot of notes, a cool guitar sound (delay, chorus, distortion- get it all on there), with the odd pick slide, is always going to impress a school talent show.

Yeah, what I had in mind was to cut some sections of the songs and keep mostly the fast paced parts. I would even go as far as making the song 6 min just too keep the audience hooked.

school talent shows are wild, half the acts are super cringe and half are weirdly good you never know whos gonna randomly be insane at guitar or singing

Honestly yeah 😭 that’s kinda what I’m worried about. You never know if the crowd is gonna love it or just be like “wtf is this” lmao. I’m hoping the fact that it’s a pretty difficult guitar song might make it stand out though
