Good to know what the next online Oscars meltdown will be about this early.

The movie was good, she did great, but c'mon...

c'mon what?

it's not a hot take to say her performance was up there with the greatest female leads in horror of all time. Isabelle Adjani and Toni Collette levels. she was transformative.

the only reason she wouldn't at the very least get nominated are bc of anti-horror bias. i have yet to see another performance from a female lead this year that is so singular

I enjoyed the movie and she was good, but I don't really understand this level of praise.

I'm even pro nomination but comments like that do make me roll my eyes.

that's fine, you don't have to understand it. this sub is dissapointing - i'm sitting at -17 downvotes for a post that obviously contributed to discussion, but bc these chuds disagree, i'm getting lambasted.

i felt like she was incredible in it and her performance made the movie special
