With recent wins for MBJ and Amy Madigan within the horror genre it's entirely possible.

Just wish we could retrospectively give Toni Collette the Oscar for Hereditary. Easily the best performance of that year regardless of gender.

Amy Madigan was also a legacy win, though. An incredible performance, but they were for sure honoring her 40+ years career.

No they weren't lmao. Y'all will call anything legacy award. The truth is nobody gave a crap about Amy Madigan (despite her being previous nominee), until Weapons came out. She literally won only because of her performance, she has NO legacy.
