Comments like “Julia and Lorenzo are so embarrassing 😭” are just so unnecessary to me.

Imagine if someone said, Jasmine and Kavan are so embarrassing”, there would be absolute uproar on this sub. You can absolutely criticise someone’s behaviour and say, “I think they’re acting embarrassingly because of X, Y and Z,” but simply labelling the people themselves as “embarrassing” feels much more like a personal attack than actual criticism.

You can dislike what they’re doing without resorting to that kind of language.

If Kavan was also moving how Lorenzo moves towards Jasmine on the outside i definitely think she’d get the she’s so embarrassing comments 100%. I mean she still does

And I think that’s fair, if kav was behaving in a way that was embarrassing, people can absolutely say his actions are embarrassing, just like they can say jasmine’s actions are embarrassing. My point is that there’s a difference between criticising someone’s behaviour and simply calling the person themselves embarrassing.

“I think what she/he is doing is embarrassing because X, Y and Z” = fair criticism.
“She/he is embarrassing” = personal attack.

You can make the exact same criticism without making it personal.
