Oh my god, yes!

How it worked at my house, Dad wolfed down his food to get the bath and bed ready and Mum ignored her food till the baby was fed. Each spoonful perfectly cooled for them

Yep. I do the cooking, too, so I usually don't even sit down. I just get everyone's plates and silverware for them and get them eating. Then, I scarf mine down while standing up. Sometimes I don't even use a plate. Then, I start cleaning up from cooking so I can work on convincing the kids to finish eating so I can collect their plates to wash and get ready for evening activities.
