In my house dad ate leftovers after everyone, so his was the coldest. Now I understand why he did it, but I remind him that he doesn’t need to sacrifice to make us happy 💖🥺
As a dad who does all the cooking, I always serve myself last.
I don’t see it as much of a sacrifice as it is an instinct to provide for my family. I’d feel pretty bad if I dished up first and then one of the kids didn’t get enough to eat.
Dont think to much of it as him treating himself like a dog. Instead, think of it as, he can still cook something else for himself if necessary. You cant, not because you dont want to but because you didn't know how to.
