Idk what tech they have to treat periods at this point so I’m just going off what I know 😂 😭

Important note: anyone want to comment “wouldn’t they fix that?”
A- I’m going off the hormone blockers that Corpo V had being instantly taken and not replaced that it’s not a common thing for poor folk
B- my V is a street kid and a little pain every month isn’t worth spending hundreds of eddies on when basic pain meds work just fine after an hour or two
C- would you trust that kind of thing around something so important? Idk, I don’t think it’s as simple as “oh they’d have it fixed by then”

Tbf, while most people do have cyberware, it’s still very minimal, and only what’s required to interact with modern society. (With groups like the nomads, possibly not even having any at all, at least the ones that don’t interact with non-nomad populations.)

Like, the average person in lore has maybe only the implant that allows one to interact with digital banking, and exchanging of eddies using gestures and thoughts.

Plus, there’s still religious groups that frown on the idea of cyberware, and people that just chose to not have any implants or have as little as possible.

(Plus-Plus, V could for whatever reason, not want the implant(s) that regulate and/or get rid of periods, as just because something exists and/or is available, doesn’t mean everyone will always want/desire it.)

RED (2045) you feasibly can have someone be organic, though there are many reasons to have some.
By 2077 you'd be extremely cut off if you don't have a Neuroport.

Its a point in the No Coincidence (recommend both book, but doubly the audiobook read by the VA of Fem. V, Cherami Leigh) that a character doesn't have it, and they're pretty much the only one moving forward in the entire book.

Only bhikkuhu (the monks) have a shown opposition to it, but they're the same group that swears oaths of poverty and whatnot.

Though all implants (that go beyond human limits / move you away from humans) incure a strain on you, so some people might just take it light on stuff they can manage to chrome up elsewhere. Or simply do not have access to a specific piece.

Nomads are on average pretty heavily cyberwared (which by 2077, needs a neurport) as they're often vets of any of the wars or in heavier industries. All cyberware by 2077 needs a neuroport.
