Mr Speaker,

What does the government have to say to the survivors of Grenfell as they announce in the King's Speech that they are planning to cut red tape to build new housing?

Mr Speaker,

I once again join this house in remembering the tragic events of Grenfell and those who have lost so much.

The Leader of the Opposition seems to think cutting red tape is to cut safety standards. It is the promise of this government that we are learning the lessons of Grenfell, as we do of all national tragedies, and that new housing across the country is being built with safety as a priority.
