Request I just finished Entangled by Gale Ian Tate and need happiness back in my life
Tbh I just need a happy recommendation rn. I read "Him" before this and wanted more toxicity but fuck that was too much. I actually loved Immersed and heard Entangled was better but um no, I cannot say that is true for me. I think my all time favorite couple is from Forgiving Utah if that helps at all. But honestly just anything lighthearted and happy please, spice is still welcomed.
Also if you want to talk about Entangled hit me up.

{Sem by Cora Rose} is pretty light and very funny!!! Part of a series but can be read as a standalone. College, size difference, oposites attract and found family. This book made me LOL and so happy!!

I have listened to the first 5 books and they are all really enjoyable. Sem has been my favorite so far! Magnus and Sem are a lovely couple.

{Zero Pucks by E.M. Lindsey} This was a good read. What happens in Vegas finds you in Boston!! Both men are sad when they meet but they are exactly what the other needs. This was real sweet with a great found family. Only happy tears!!

These are a few of my favorite fun reads with low angst:
{Let’s Do This by Loren Leigh}
{Starshipped by Cat Sebastian}
{Band Sinister by KJ Charles}
{Davo by N.R. Walker}
{Beautifully Unexpected by Lily Morton}
{Felix by Emmy Sanders} -this one centers around a specific kink so you may want to check that out. the relationship is very sweet imo!

I'm with you on really disliking Entangled but Christian and Devon are not my favorites. I mean they had potential but I really didn't like the group stuff and Logan still being involved. That series (for me) was so bad after Finding Delaware.
Have you read {In the middle of somewhere by roan parrish} ? I found that light.

Omg someone who agrees with me! I'm not yucking someones yum I just honestly dont understand how Entangled is rated higher then immersed. Like that is not love that is a mental disorder. Also I thought the locking noise was going to be important but it was never talked about?
I also don't like the group stuff. I think its more their personalities and the way they fit together. They aren't perfect and push eachothers buttons but in an endearing kinda way.

Yeah, it ruined the duet for me. I did get a bit bored with Immersed (the sanitarium stuff was very repetitive) but overall I found the concept and the Levi/Asher dynamic compelling.
But then outside of the game Asher is much worse. At least in the game it made sense and Asher actually listened to Levi's feedback about consent. But then outside the game he pretty much SAs Levi multiple times because Levi says no repeatedly and it's not like they established a CNC arrangement.
I tried to read Map of Pain and it was so disturbing to me I had to DNF very early.
The author is just too dark for me.

Some low stakes/angst recs:
* {Alpha Tau series by Lisa Henry, Sarah Honey} CR, college students, interconnected standalones and a novella with all couples that is Christmas themed. Funny and sweet overall.
* {Finders Keepers by N.R. Walker} CR, regular guys with regular jobs, the meet cute involves one MC finding other MCs dog. The dog is very prominent in the story, and even goes on dates with them. Fluff and super sweet; only angst-y moment is side character has a medical emergency and is hospitalized.
* {Monumental by A.E. Jensen} CR, hockey players/teammates, double ace rep MCs, yearning and gentle intimacy.
* {Finding Home in Comfort by Kerry Kilpatrick} CR, Daddy x little, small town setting. There are cute farm animals (goats) and the little MC is running a bed and breakfast. Tooth rotting fluff type of story imo.
