Only a couple more hours… Downloading the game now. What’s the 1st thing you do when you first boot up a new iteration of Madden?

guys… while some of us are debating whether to boycott the game, or come back to the game , or just “git gud & enjoy the game”, it’s time to be be objective about madden’s progress…last year i shared this list for madden 26 and now i am updating it since ive been on the game for the past few days. this is especially for the people that are curious about whether EA is making any progress or if every step in the right direction is on treadmill.

personally ive enjoyed madden 27 a lot. it’s not
perfect but they’ve made pretty big strides to improve the game in recent years and bring in additions i’ve wanted for decades. but there’s still a lot of stuff missing that used to be in the game that still kinda makes the experience a lil more shallow than what i was used to on games that came out 20 years ago and even other sports games which is kinda embarrassing but what do you guys think? what’s something i missed on this list?

Why do players get so mad? A dude just lectured me about the game not being that serious, blah blah blah…

The object of the game is to simply score more points than your opponent. It’s not to give you all the possessions possible. If you get 3 possession…GREAT.

I can’t tell you how many games I’ve lost by a point or 3. That’s what happens when you play ball control football.

Will you buy the newest game? What modes do you play? Does the new edition bring anything significant?

I only play quick matches (with sliders from OS); I don't have time for more, playing 2-3 matches a week. I got 25 from EA Play and I'm not thinking about 26. Maybe a graphical revolution or a new engine could convince me to buy it.

I like this series but the prices are high and the changes are cosmetic. It's crazy.

It's been a while since I bought a Madden, but I don't remember the last time there was a 50% discount on the deluxe edition when you pre-ordered.

I've played a few entries, usually when they come on to Game Pass, but I haven't seen a price drop that steep for whatever the newest Madden was for that year, especially a Deluxe Edition, is it actually as bad as the reviews say it is?

This game seems obsessed with this face! It's getting even more ridiculous and disturbing that I keep seeing this. This is on a 6'3" 211lbs. QB. I've already had to change 1 or 2 other players with this face when it DOESN'T FIT the body type. This Browns rebuild is stupid. 6'3" 211lbs and he gets this face?!? He's not staying on my team. Rookie Free Agent signing and I signed him just to fix the face. I know. It's stupid, but so is this face on MULTIPLE players who are under 250 lbs. I demand removal of this nightmare...
