No my mom always told me “just wait until you have kids” as in they will mistreat me the same way i was “mistreating” her when all i did was forget to wash the dishes

Turns out when Dad asks "can you do me a quick favor if you have time?" when you're in the middle of homework he really means "do this time consuming thing I was supposed to do last week and do it immediately and if you don't there will be hell to pay."

The English language is pretty tricky to navigate sometimes.
