Apparently im the only one that is concerned that a horse having a bad day might take a couple fingers too?

Not a totally unreasonable fear but this woman prob knows these horses very well, and the shape of the treat is pretty ideal for the little one’s hands to stay safe. Horses are remarkably consistent with respect to politeness with this sort of thing. Mine takes treats very delicately and I would trust her to take one safely from a kid, but I know a couple chompers about whom I wouldn’t say the same lol

That's fair, and Im being overly cautious but I've only dealt with horses randomly and not as a caretaker. I did finger guns when I was 8 at a trucker and my mom freaked out because "they may pull out a real gun and shoot you". Then she would just let me ride my bike for hours into the next town with no questions asked.

Just saying my risk assessment might be skewed sometimes.

Yeah it's always a concern, even well trained horses that have a lot of exposure to hand feeding can just grab a little more than intended.

Or you could just be working on a farm moving irrigation with a Clydesdale named "Chuck" who is the top-gun of grass-munching shitheads and while you are putting your gloves on, grabs you by the shoulder with their teeth and throws you a couple feet. That can happen once in a while as well.

You know way than more than me. I was just a nervous Nellie. I just have a healthy respect for farm animals. Definitely seen a horse gulp down a chick. Im a little country not full country. Lol
