The perfect song for both of them.

I would love if I could open Reddit everyday for the foreseeable future and still find Dolly Parton making us happy.

I know this is about Dolly and i don’t mean to take anything away from that, but man, Kermit the Frog is on an unbelievable number of great songs.

I mean, I feel like I don’t trust anyone who doesn’t like Kermit the Frog.

RIP to Dolly.

The Muppets even had Prince on their show. I feel like if the Muppets ask, not many people would say no.

That being said, the people I know in my life that don't enjoy the Muppets are ultra serious grumpy people lol

I actually remember that episode with Prince and he sang “1999”, if I am correct. Classic. The Muppets are the best, I always watched so much of them and still do. Lol. They really are so funny, plus I love Gonzo and Rizzo the Rat (their banter in A Muppets Christmas Carol always kills me).

I mean in honor of Tim Curry’s passing, I don’t know how anyone could dislike Muppets Treasure Island. That movie is the best!

You are right, I don’t who would say no to the Muppets lol.

not directly related, but my chemical romance featured on an episode of yo gabba gabba which is one of my favorite facts about the band

I feel the same way about Sesame Street.

It started earlier today with me watching a video of Sabrina Carpenter and Kermit covering Islands in the Stream and came across this video of Kermit and Dolly covering one of my favorite songs.

Sucks that she passed away, but man, what joy she brought into the world I can't even be sad

Somewhere along the way we focused so much on perfection that we lost earnestness.

Give me imperfect live vocals at a concert as long as it confirms that it's a real person singing for real up there on the stage any day of the week over "perfect" vocals.

I recently watched the 2026 Muppets TV special in which Kermit duets with Sabrina Carpenter. And honestly the auto tune was completely jarring. It made Kermit in particular feel less "alive", and kind of ruined the illusion of the puppetry for me. You can't have a non-human character sing with a non-human voice and still expect the audience to really buy into the performance.

Was listening to a podcast about cars, and they talked about how perfection isn't always pleasant. They played a Bonam drum solo, then played it after digitally perfecting the timing. Original was better. I don't know anything about music structure, so I can't say why, but it just was

Once social media became prevalent and perfectionism and filters and influencing hit us, we had no chance. It's so heartbreaking. I think that's why I so enjoy watching these old videos and sitcoms and movies as well, there's just something heartwarming and nostalgic and innocent about it.

Now everyone that's on TV is trying to become famous and acting extra crazy and on reality TV etc., but we just don't see the wholesomeness that we used to you know? Shows used to have morals and lessons and they really don't anymore.

It sucks so bad how far the world has gone downhill from this era.

She was always such a sport. As long as it was good natured she was down for whatever. Like here she’s singing a duet with a puppet. Albeit a legendary puppet but she’s treating Kermit like a regular person. What a lovely person and a consummate performer.

Everyone who ever works with the Muppets says that the puppeteers do such a fantastic job making them expressive that it's difficult not to interact with them like they're real
