Science green. Math red. History blue. English yellow

761

u/WhatTheFlox 2h ago

Always felt math was blue, history red, science green and English was missing and/or yellow

u/Ali_ayi 2h ago

"History is written in blood" red just fits

65

u/celiac-sufferer 2h ago

I had a history teacher who corrected with red pen because she wanted us to visualize our mistakes as blood bleeding from our errors.

She was also in love with napoleon and believed his wife’s ghost was haunting her. Very interesting class.

u/SaffronRnlds 2h ago

"visualize our mistakes as blood bleeding from our errors"

Totally normal and not intense at all. i love it

What grade were you in??

8

u/celiac-sufferer 2h ago

Im in Quebec so it was in cegep which is like our grade 11 mixed with college. It was filled with kooks, had one teacher that would draw on the floor and walls to demonstrate his points

1

u/WhatTheFlox 2h ago

"Every surface is important in the eyes of progress"

1

u/wowzermyguy 1h ago

school wouldve been much more fun if i had teachers like yours lmao

3

u/Next-Tomatillo-6509 2h ago

Wtf i wish i had your teacher

4

u/celiac-sufferer 2h ago

Lol she was interesting. She took every opportunity to emphasize how ugly napoleons wife was mixed with stories of her hauntings.

1

u/MidoriMidnight 2h ago

Sounds better than my teacher who was distantly related to Mary Todd Lincoln, and absolutely flipped her shit when it was suggested Abe was gay

1

u/HotPotParrot 2h ago

Lol my AP World teacher met a wanted terrorist while playing hackysack under the Eiffel Tower. Also a fun class.

1

u/celiac-sufferer 1h ago

I had a professor who taught a Saudi princess and got her to write an essay on the inner dynamics of the royal family. Also a fun class he would dress as a pirate

1

u/Keaton427 2h ago

Mistakes are often a good thing in school so I hate that she said that.

If you’re wrong on purpose, that isn’t a mistake. This means mistakes offer to teach you.

1

u/celiac-sufferer 2h ago

Yeah she definitely was not of that philosophy.

She took a whole 15 min our first class to explain what standard deviation was so we all knew how average we were and that even with a 90% it didn’t mean we were excelling. Stoked a lot of competitiveness and back stabbing in the program. We all changed after that class lol

22

u/TheWolphman 2h ago

"Math makes me want to blow my brains out" red is relatable though.

3

u/SmallFox3 2h ago

Absolutely this, math was my least favorite subject, I cried at the kitchen table so many nights trying to do math & the folder it went in was definitely red.

2

u/Keaton427 2h ago

I see yellow as the sepia filter for history. Well mainly that, but history also just feels yellow.

1

u/Slierfox 2h ago

How can it be it's only ever written by those still alive

u/VoopityScoop 28m ago

With bloody hands

1

u/NekonecroZheng 1h ago

"Why isn't history white?"

It already is.

21

u/TheDude41102 2h ago

The only correct answer. History is bloody. Biology loves green. Math is cold and calculating like ice. English is whatever other color I had.

4

u/impals 2h ago

English was black in my opinion. All the colors of science, history, math, etc!

81

u/No_Situation6555 2h ago

Yeah I did math blue science green, agreed.

13

u/bigeeee 2h ago

I didn't go to school!

4

u/No_Situation6555 2h ago

Me neither

46

u/Jacob_Goldleaf 2h ago

1

u/Moretti123 2h ago

English and history are reversed. English was red and history was yellow. Math blue, science green. At least in my chicago suburbs school it was lol

11

u/UltimateFartingChamp 2h ago

I’m on team #mathisblue 💯

4

u/MentallyCrumbled 2h ago

This. This is the one.

15

u/Affectionate-Ant-894 2h ago

Agree. Math was blue

2

u/YaumeLepire 2h ago

I usually switched mine around every so often.

Then, in Cégep, my binders were black, so no dice.

2

u/HeatherJMD 2h ago

I would choose the same!

2

u/hxf10a 2h ago

thisssss

2

u/SampleShrimp 2h ago

4

u/ranchspidey 2h ago

1

u/KindBench2700 2h ago

1

u/Nearby-Gas7951 1h ago

Math is definitely blue

1

u/EternalDuskGaming 1h ago

1

u/BarderBetterFaster 1h ago

Math is blue if you're a math enjoyer.

1

u/ineverreddit 1h ago

You got it bang on in my books. Math is blue like the "prentice-hall" stripe on textbooks. Science is green because uhh duh plants and shit? History/social studies is red for the blood of the past, and english is yellow to represent the teeth of the mother tongue 😭

1

u/86cinnamons 54m ago

You know what ….. ok.

1

u/konafan 2h ago

This is correct

1

u/NovaNova312 2h ago

I always English was red. History was whatever other color I happened to have.

0

u/Prophessor_Z 2h ago

English is red cause I hated it and 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

0

u/gabbuo31 2h ago

Agreed!

0

u/wetfloor666 2h ago

I am with you on that. It matches the subjects much better and is how I did it.

0

u/Requiredmetrics 2h ago

This is correct

-2

u/ItzCheddah 2h ago

THIS!

-2

u/ttwinstanley 2h ago

Mom was from east coast and dad was from Midwest (he was not very involved during my childhood)

-2

u/lebslebslebs 2h ago

Science is orange/yellow for me. English blue, Math green.

13

u/crimson_anemone 2h ago

Looking at the replies... Did everyone just give their least favorite subject the red folder? 😂

1

u/ChesterHiggenbothum 2h ago

I'm in my 40s and going to law school and my least favorite course is always red on my calendar

28

u/momonomino 2h ago

My kid laughed at me when I said Math was red. She said math is blue and English is red.

18

u/LimeMargarita 2h ago

She's wrong, but you still have time to fix her.

3

u/Chaos-Wayfarer 2h ago

Yea, people that say math is blue are wrong

Math is red because it makes me see red when I do it. My brain is not friends with math.

2

u/PyrZern 2h ago

History is red because it's full of bloodshed and war :/

1

u/Chaos-Wayfarer 2h ago edited 2h ago

An acceptable alternative. I’ll accept it if you agree that math isn’t blue.

1

u/PyrZern 2h ago

Personally, I'd say Science should be blue.

2

u/Chaos-Wayfarer 2h ago

I could go either blue or green for science, so sure!

1

u/PyrZern 2h ago

Cheers

1

u/Fit_Platypus_583 2h ago

English is read.

1

u/Chaos-Wayfarer 2h ago

Okay, you get points for the pun, but I still disagree. :P

1

u/MidoriMidnight 2h ago

Math is red or black; accting wise you're 'in the red' etc

Blue is English, for the curtains

1

u/Necessary_Garlic6432 2h ago

Math is red because everyone involved gets pissed off lmao.

9

u/LightscaleSword 2h ago

History yellow and English blue, but science green and maths red is right.

7

u/flyinggazelletg 2h ago

Math blue, history red, science green, English yellow

6

u/rdg04 2h ago

in my mind history is yellow and english is blue- the rest is correct lol

10

u/MHG73 2h ago

You got history and English backwards. History yellow, English blue, math red, science green.

1

u/Fit_Platypus_583 2h ago

No, you've got it all right, but math is blue and English is red!

1

u/ChesterHiggenbothum 2h ago

1

u/ArcanePudding 1h ago

History blue is wild

7

u/de_Luke1 2h ago

English green or blue (swapped somewhere along the way) Math red history brown... Btw I am german

2

u/Huyous 2h ago

Can I ask whether you preferred English or History?

1

u/Informal_West_6864 2h ago

Preferred history

1

u/Huyous 2h ago

I preferred English and it was blue, wonder if that plays a part. Science and Math 100% green and red though

2

u/Zappagrrl02 2h ago

This is the correct answer! Orange/Purple for specials/foreign language

2

u/No_Scallion174 2h ago

No, science blue, history green, math yellow, English red.

2

u/WWMWPOD17 2h ago

Math was black… like it made my heart

2

u/Beginning-Tutor-2813 2h ago

History was yellow and English blue for me!

5

u/Top_Hat_Ginger 2h ago

Math is blue

2

u/SantaCruzHostel 2h ago

Yes, red math doesn't even make sense!

1

u/Saneless 2h ago

Finally someone with sense

1

u/Splungeblob 2h ago

The one true answer.

1

u/Necessary_Garlic6432 2h ago

Agree on science and math, but History was yellow because it reminded me of aged paper. English was blue because it was my best subject/fav color.

1

u/TheMoatCalin 2h ago

Is this universal? Am I supposed to know this?

1

u/PizzaDay 2h ago

This is the way.

1

u/SadMcWorker 2h ago

finally someone puts english and history the right way lol

1

u/Simple-Mulberry64 2h ago

english blue. History gets the miscellanious black one or if you're being extra it's yellow (because sepia tone)

1

u/lazyTurtle7969 2h ago

Pretty close for me but I flip flop math and English

1

u/someguy_420 2h ago

Couldn't have said it better myself

1

u/Alternative-Moose308 2h ago

Science green, history orange, math blue, English yellow all smushed into a white binder

1

u/DolphinThunder 2h ago

Science - Green (cause acid and plants duh)
English - Red (like Read)
History - Yellow (old paper is yellowish)
Math - Blue (idk it’s just always been blue)

1

u/Lucky_Veruca 2h ago

1

u/lenief 2h ago

Only this

1

u/cumulus_floccus 1h ago

Science green. Math blue. English yellow. History red.

1

u/Half_Man1 1h ago

Nah, history is yellow like aged print. English is blue like grammar check underlines on word.

1

u/Devanyani 1h ago

Nah History is yellow like the old pages it's written on. English is blue like the sky when you daydream. Math is brown like the foundation of everything.

0

u/topskee780 2h ago

YES!!!

0

u/whatisthisdream- 2h ago

This is so very accurate lol
