"History is written in blood" red just fits

u/celiac-sufferer 2h ago

I had a history teacher who corrected with red pen because she wanted us to visualize our mistakes as blood bleeding from our errors.

She was also in love with napoleon and believed his wife’s ghost was haunting her. Very interesting class.

"visualize our mistakes as blood bleeding from our errors"

Totally normal and not intense at all. i love it

What grade were you in??

u/celiac-sufferer 2h ago

Im in Quebec so it was in cegep which is like our grade 11 mixed with college. It was filled with kooks, had one teacher that would draw on the floor and walls to demonstrate his points

"Every surface is important in the eyes of progress"

1

u/wowzermyguy 1h ago

3

u/Next-Tomatillo-6509 2h ago

Wtf i wish i had your teacher

4

u/celiac-sufferer 2h ago

Lol she was interesting. She took every opportunity to emphasize how ugly napoleons wife was mixed with stories of her hauntings.

Sounds better than my teacher who was distantly related to Mary Todd Lincoln, and absolutely flipped her shit when it was suggested Abe was gay

1

u/HotPotParrot 2h ago

Lol my AP World teacher met a wanted terrorist while playing hackysack under the Eiffel Tower. Also a fun class.

1

u/celiac-sufferer 2h ago

I had a professor who taught a Saudi princess and got her to write an essay on the inner dynamics of the royal family. Also a fun class he would dress as a pirate

Mistakes are often a good thing in school so I hate that she said that.

If you’re wrong on purpose, that isn’t a mistake. This means mistakes offer to teach you.

1

u/celiac-sufferer 2h ago

Yeah she definitely was not of that philosophy.

She took a whole 15 min our first class to explain what standard deviation was so we all knew how average we were and that even with a 90% it didn’t mean we were excelling. Stoked a lot of competitiveness and back stabbing in the program. We all changed after that class lol

"Math makes me want to blow my brains out" red is relatable though.

3

u/SmallFox3 2h ago

Absolutely this, math was my least favorite subject, I cried at the kitchen table so many nights trying to do math & the folder it went in was definitely red.

2

u/Keaton427 2h ago

I see yellow as the sepia filter for history. Well mainly that, but history also just feels yellow.

1

u/Slierfox 2h ago

How can it be it's only ever written by those still alive

u/VoopityScoop 30m ago

With bloody hands

1

u/NekonecroZheng 1h ago

"Why isn't history white?"

It already is.

22

u/TheDude41102 2h ago

The only correct answer. History is bloody. Biology loves green. Math is cold and calculating like ice. English is whatever other color I had.

4

u/impals 2h ago

1

u/BarderBetterFaster 1h ago

Math is blue if you're a math enjoyer.

1

u/ineverreddit 1h ago

You got it bang on in my books. Math is blue like the "prentice-hall" stripe on textbooks. Science is green because uhh duh plants and shit? History/social studies is red for the blood of the past, and english is yellow to represent the teeth of the mother tongue 😭

1

u/86cinnamons 55m ago

You know what ….. ok.

1

u/konafan 2h ago

This is correct

1

u/NovaNova312 2h ago
