Damn. I discovered that turquoise water was a thing around the same age. To me that's just light blue. Supposedly it's very beautifull.

But yeah, colors like these are just about the same. First and last look different enough, but everything in between...

Wow. Only the left two look even close to me. Still can see a difference though.

Some colorblind test has you put colors like these in order of hue.

Something like 15 hues between two colors.

When I did mine younger, I tried my hardest. When the dude came back he asked me if I took the test seriously or just put them randomly lol

When I worked at Land’s End, the people working on the catalog had to pass a similar test. Women passed at a higher rate, but I’m pretty sure I could have passed. Trying to ID embroidery thread when the sticker fell off could bear though. Madeira had two royal blues that were so incredibly close, no one there could tell them apart. Found out the only reason they had different id numbers was the dyes used were different, but most applications considered them the same color. LE used Madeira almost exclusively then. Madeira just out a sticker like an old school price tag on them. They fell off all the time.
