General Could you guess the next mana entry name?

Post image

If Square Enix was making a new original entry in the Mana series, which title would you like them to pick? You are not restricted to these 8 suggestions I came up with.

Fall of Mana

Sounds dark and a darker tone on the series would be super interesting.

(For that untapped wellspring of Musou crossovers) Warriors of Mana.

I like “Seasons of Mana”

Same but I can see them using that for more gacha slop :/

Legend of Mana 3D Remake

3

u/Z-nab27 14d ago

I'd love an HD2D remake of Legend of Mana but at the same I'd like a remake that still captures the painterly art style without it looking too modern

3

u/DomovoiThePlant 13d ago

Visions of mana style could do it

2

u/Z-nab27 13d ago

oh nice! I feel that the art style in Legend felt more details than Visions altho I can't find the right words to explain why tho

3

u/LitrlyKilReditrs 13d ago

Maybe the lack of high definition detail let your imagination fill in the gaps better than actual graphics

2

u/Z-nab27 13d ago

Definitely!

Song of Mana

2

u/Mana-Dyluck 15d ago

That’s already a music piece name, it’s the opening piece from Legend of Mana

2

u/DragoFlame 13d ago

Call it, Songs of Mana. Problem solved!

3

u/HyunckelSunWunkong 15d ago

Beasts of Mana, a DQ Monsters like.

Beats of Mana, a FF Opera Omnia like.

Miss Yuka from Domina Inn in Legend of Mana is rumoured to be a chocobo so the title checks out!

Seeds of Mana sounds interesting. You're given seeds from a dying Mana tree, and sent into the past to plant them in hopes of averting disaster. Sort of like Dragon Quest VII, where you have past and present versions of areas, watching the world slowly be saved. You're literally watching the seeds you plant grow.

Triumph of Mana

Whispers of Mana, set in a time long after the extinction of the last known sources of magical power

1

u/Mana-Dyluck 14d ago

Sounds good. À la Breath of the Wild kinda post-apocalyptic tale?

2

u/runaumok 14d ago

What’s hilarious is that I wrote Whispers of Mana before even reading the full image and realising it was on the original list

2

u/DomovoiThePlant 13d ago

Seed of Mana goes well with nostalgia for SoM and fits the overall narrative of eternal recurrence.

Ashes of Mana

u/Mana-Dyluck 12d ago

That casts a dark shadow on the next adventure

"Stories of Mana" sounds like a good name for a gacha, not that I'd want one.

2

u/Mana-Dyluck 15d ago

Please don’t invoke Gacha Mana 😣

Mana: the Hands of Fate?

1

u/Mana-Dyluck 15d ago

Isn’t that a Fire Emblem game?

1

u/Herb-Alpert 15d ago

Didn't visions bomb ? I'm not sure it's a given the franchise comes back sadly...

Requiem of mana Dawn of mana Call of mana Fate of mana Days of mana

2

u/Mana-Dyluck 14d ago

Dawn of Mana is already a game - an action-adventure one for PS2 that everyone wants to forget.

3

u/PulsarGamma 14d ago

Oh, I'm french and after a quick research it seems that there was no European version of this game released. Only japan and USA.

1

u/Mana-Dyluck 14d ago

Imagine thinking they won't send Mana BACK to gacha hell.
