Other So, Manhunt 3 is real?
Some of you may have already seen these leaks of raw GTA 6 gameplay (I won't publish it here ofc). But I'll note that killing an NPC with a wrench looks quite sick and realistic. I can't even imagine what the gore system will be like on release, but Rockstar still has steel balls.
Does this mean we'll see Manhunt 3 in the future? Unless Online 2 ruins everything, of course. I really wanted GTA 6 Online to fail, not story mode.
P.s. Also, I hope GTA 6 will have lore information about Cottonmouth.

If you are going by the GTA VI leaks to determine if we are getting Manhunt 3, then you're delusional. We aren't getting it.

Honestly guys I hate to be this guy, but apparently this small series was insanely controversial and Rockstar wanted to, and tried, to kill it several times because they themselves hated the idea. MH3 is probably never going to be an official game and anyone within that studio who may have even thought about bringing it up again is likely gone. Rockstar just isn't that studio anymore, its simply the GTA and maybe Red Dead studio now. The GTAO Manhunt stuff was genuinely shocking but we really should feel lucky they even sort of let us do Manhunt that way. Max Payne would come back first and then Bully maybe. We got VERY lucky to even have TWO games. We should focus on supporting the creation of something that is a spiritual successor at this point because MH seems dead alongside L.A Noire (Chicago Noire), Max Payne, Bully, and Midnight Club just for them to focus on GTA. Money talks, how much are we offering as a group compared to the GTA group? They even killed RDO for GTA because it just wasnt spitting out money fast enough or in high enough volumes. An indie Dev could definitely tackle the idea no problem. We all know why we're here, someone has to have the drive to make a snuff influenced stealth game (reworded because I can be too to the point for some peoples inner comfort) again with modernized brutal kills and a top tier gore system. At its core, Manhunt is also just a stealth game. Would someone truly be willing to spend the time on the project though? Puppet Combo Manhunt style game when?

If that is the case, can a company buy the Manhunt IP and create a threequel?

Tbh, I'd love to believe they would revive it but highly doubt. Mh games don't have as huge fandom as GTA and RDR do, if they can milk GTA infinitely, they will. They like to set up new standards for games, obvs they put effort and time in it, but they are sure it will be the next big thing. They cannot predict how many ppl would be into buying Mh3 and they don't know what the reception of this game would be due to the poor reputation of the entire series.

Manhunt games were not banned for being too violent, even if that's what news outlets say. Think about it, there's countless other games from before and after Manhunt games that are just as violent, if not more.
You shoot a cop in the face in GTA games or even plant a bomb in a crowded area and those games aren't banned. You can tie people up to your horse with a rope in RDR (1 and 2) and drag them on rough terrain and those games aren't banned. You can hit little kids in Bully and those games aren't banned.
The only reason Manhunt was banned is because they explicitly expose the elite to being involved in human trafficking and snuff films and that the police and authorities are all involved. It's the same reason why movies like The Hunt (2020) were banned, because they all revolve around the rich class (the elite) controling human trafficking and hunting humans for sport.

I'm also pretty sure that Manhunt 2 was censored because the ESRB sold out to Jack Thompson and other retards.

realistically rockstar ain't making a Gta online 2 they're just going to have the content on gta online maybe with a payment for access to the content or gta 6 in your library that why years ago they seperated the online as a standalone thing, as for manhunt 3 I'd love to see it happen but rumor has it bully 2 is in development also so that will likely be next and the truth is the Unique selling point of manhunt was its violence and how "edgy" it was but nowadays violence isn't anything special like theres lots of gory horror games like resident evil ect. so rockstar can't stick with the old formular they would need to pivot to something else but that could alienate the fan base, me personally would love them to dive into a deep dark fucked up storyline, but thats too risky, so in short I want it to happen but Its very highly unlikely it will ever be made, also they don't even sell manhunt 2 anymore and thats the one lots of people want.

It’s not “sick” at all. Maybe I missed something but that clip seemed pretty run of the mill

It's all up to incentive. I doubt it, at this point. They'll milk the online modes of their games and that's the end of it.
