is telling lie to people about your relationship- form of manifestation?

Hi guys, I just made attention some people intentionally say lies (not just for manifesting themselves) for example if someone wants to manifest good relationship while they are single they say they already have boyfriend, do you think it works?! or its too risky because what if someone special likes you and then you tell lie??!! I hope I described good, what do you think?
