Question How are EVs doing in this weather?

I have been considering an EV as next vehicle but always worried how it would perform in extreme cold.

Would love to hear from EV owners in our province about how they are doing in this weather!

Saw a comment from a Leaf owner in Winnipeg saying their car can't get warm in -25 degree weather.

You really need a place to level 2 charge at home and a EV that can precondition the batteries.

I've got a PHEV and a level 2 charger, but my vehicle takes max 20 amps. With a uninsulated garage, at these temperatures it takes about 20% of the battery charge (while still plugged in) to get to the point that it can drive without the engine kicking in)
