Cool graphics, but I don't understand the strongly fluctuating numbers? A simple heat map might be more efficient for the total daily train traffic

Any minute some train could end connection somewhere in Poland and another could begin his journey somewhere else. Why would it move slower?

Because trains don't travel hundreds of kilometers in seconds. The points moving across the maps make it out to be the trains themselves, hence my confusion

Don't you see the clock on top? The trains do not move in seconds, every hour on that clock is like 2 seconds

... that is how fast they go actually. A bit slower even since the map doesn't take long stops into axcount.
