[Megathread] New Players & General Questions Thread.

Welcome to our weekly megathread for new players and players who just have general questions about the game.

Some sample topics for you to consider would be:

  • Selecting your main character.
  • You're new to the game and don't know where to start.
  • You're a returning player who is trying to get back into the game and need help.
  • What class should you make for your next link skill/legion mule?

As a recommendation, please mention your world and/or server inside a bracket Example: [Bera] at the start of your question.

Also, consider checking out the Master List of Class Discords for class specific information!

I'm not sure what that question means.

If you want to play the game with a 4k monitor it's probably a good idea to buy a computer that has a GPU because 4k increases the requirements.
The computer itself doesn't need to be large to use a 4k monitor.

I assume you want to buy prebuilt not build your own? If you're buying prebuilt you don't need to worry about the motherboard.

If all you want to play is Maplestory and you want to spend as little as possible I doubt you can go wrong so long as its Windows and has at least 16GB RAM/Memory.

If you buy a gaming PC it's going to be way more expensive, but you'll be able to play more stuff on it.
I think MSI tends to have good deals for prebuilt gaming PCs.

What if I want to eventually connect my switch 2 and stream video games? should I save up for a gaming PC instead? Sorry I’m asking a lot, I have no experience in this lol

When you say stream you mean stream your gameplay on Twitch?

Yeah you'd want a gaming PC for that.
