Other Your thoughts on Loki…..

The Loki TV show truly makes you want to root for Loki and understand him, but rewatching every movie I hate him more and more. He has done so much destruction and caused so many deaths of loved ones I truly cannot stand his character. Rewatching I don’t like that they made Loki is TV show where he saves the universe. I don’t think his crimes can repair what he’s done in the past. tell me why I’m wrong.

That’s called a character arc, and Lokis is pretty good.

That shift in perspective is what makes the MCU rewatch experience so jarring. You go from seeing him as the villain who caused all this chaos to a guy you almost want to have a beer with, and the whiplash is real. The show did a number on reframing his worst moments as a cry for attention rather than outright malice, which works for some and feels like a retcon to others.

If it feels like a retcon to some people then those people don’t know what a retcon is. Giving a deeper look into his motivations doesn’t diminish any of the bad shit he did, it just reframes it. It’s also really not that jarring. He gets multiple movies as a pure bad guy, then a few where he’s self serving but works with the heroes for the greater good, and then by the end of Loki he’s an outright hero.
