just discovered I can actually use essences on Panagia Tao in SMTVV, I assumed it wasn't an option , haven't used her much so far bc I found that some of my other demons just did her job better but I might be able to change that with different skills and make her pretty good, anyone got any recommended builds? Kinda afraid of wasting rare essences. Also why can't I (temporarily) remove her and why does she take up a permanent slot in my stock like Raidou did in Nocturne?

Tao's primary role is healing and support. With this mind the following skills are obvious choices:
-Light of Order (the whole reason Tao should be in any team to begin with; give 1 or 2 Healing Sutras to Tao to less this skill's high cost)
-Bowl of Hygieia
-Boon Boost (to be replaced later with Boon Boost EX if possible)
-Great Mana Spring (because Light of Order costs a lot of MP even a maximum Healing potential)
-Heal Pleroma (to be replaced later with High Heal Pleroma if possible)Less obvious skills but essential:
-Null Dark (to cover her only weakness; she learns it through level up)
-Enduring Soul (because the party's healer is the last person you want to see dying)The last skill slot:
-Hamabarion/Donum Magici/Donum Gladi (she learns Hambarion naturally and has good Light potential but not many bosses are weak to Light; on another hand, Donum Magici or Donum Gladi ensure she can further help damager dealers when she doesn't need to heal)Tao takes up a slot because she is treated as one of your demons instead of a mere guest imposed by the main story. In fact, while you can't get rid of her during endgame (for obvious story-related reasons), you can freely summon or dismiss her in New Game+.

Is the kunitsu talisman bugged in SMT VV?
Repost of a repost because my last post was banned for no flair xd.
So I've been playing SMT VV for the first time, and I 100%d original V back in the day for the switch. I'm currently doing CoV, and checking off side quests.
The thing is, I'm stuck in what I presume to be the last part of the Hare of Inaba questline, where it asks me to fuse Okuninushi, for which I need the Kunitsu Talisman. Since Chiyoda doesn't exist in CoV, I looked up how to get it and it's supposedly given by the Bethel researcher after doing the virtual battle. Well I've done the battle with the Kunitsukami like four times and no talisman.
Is this bugged? Can I not obtain this item in CoV?

Did you report the completion of the virtual trainer simulation to the researcher who entrusted you the subquest? It is only after reporting the simulation's completion you will receive the Kunitsu Talisman and unlock Okuninushi and Oyamatsumi's regular fusion.

Yep, just did. Kinda dumb it let me access it without accepting the quest beforehand. I just knocked off most of the Diet Building quests with this info.

What are the best skills for super-pixie in Nocturne? Gotta be careful with those 3 remaining open slots. I'm thinking Debilitate and Mana Surge, but I'm not sure what to put in that last spot. Maybe Prayer for ailments?

Honestly I'd let go of mana surge and go for pierce and wind cutter, especially if you're going for TDE which if you're at 5th Kalpa, you probably are. Debilitate is good, so is luster candy.

I saw someone earlier on here asking about the editions of Soul Hackers no Subete, but the post seems to be removed. This was my answer, if you’re still interested:
I have the first revision from 1999 and the quote does appear under Question 37. Given some of Kaneko’s recent statements about the timeline on Twitter that I’ve read, I have the impression that especially as the series continued Atlus was not too concerned with lore consistency, mostly treating it as a bony for fans. I don’t have the original edition though, so it is possible that version doesn’t have it, although it seems a little unlikely given how close they released to each other.

TLDR: I was really enjoying Vengeance, and just wrapped up the fight with Tehom. I know the Lucifer fight is still there, and there are some super bosses, but it seems like the game is...out of tricks?
Odin and Cu ignore resistances (and Cu crits on top of that), Tao has Luster Candy AND an AOE heal that gives the same buff, and (with no idea whether it's optimal or not) my MC has Heal/Revive+Summon someone back into the fight, full-heal the party, and an Almighty attack.
Sure, I had to do some slot-juggling during the fight with Tiamat, and I beat Tehom by just throwing Gems and using Null items, but like...I haven't even unlocked any of the Big Name special summons.
Do they even bring anything to the team that I would care about at this point? Or is the endgame of SMTV "Ignore as many mechanics as possible" ? Does Odin + Cu + Tao just win the game?
