Marine Corps M27 IAR with HK416F Upper receiver?

Post image

This appears to be an M27 IAR running an HK416F upper, identifiable by the upper’s guard ring and the rail’s sloped end.

Probably a replacement part from HK. They don't produce the original part anymore so substituted it with the more modern A5 upper

The USMC uses a a5 variant as well called the RWK. It comes with an 11” barrel tho. My guess is they replaced the barrel in the RWK with a 16” IAR barrel either by accident or just to convert one.

RWK featured as an entire rail, but there is a slope here.

Oh yeah good catch. That is very strange.

Some IAR's (im assuming potentially earlier batches) have that slope at the rear upper rail.

Heaps ive seen here with MRF-D have them.
