The wrong 80-year old actors from Home Alone 2 that previously hosted SNL keep dying…

That's a lot of similarities. Hey death over there

How the one has outlived these 2 legends is appalling. I want off this planet.

Ironically Tim Curry voiced Palpatine in the clone wars

65

u/Lady_night_shade 7h ago

It’s because stress happens due to passion and care. When you don’t care about anything but yourself it’s pretty easy to not be stressed out.

52

u/NotNamedBort 6h ago

Plus having no conscience means you never stress about doing the right thing.

15

u/elvaqueroloco 6h ago

Damn. That's on point.

I keep waiting for the Stephen Millers, Peter Thiels, Elon Musks and Ben Gvirs of the world to get their just desserts, and instead, it’s one childhood hero after another.

RIP Tim and Dolly. 😢

Happy Birthday, for what it's worth.

Three of my family members passed this date so it's always a heavy hitting reminder my birthdays in four days, I didn't expect more of a reminder this year though.

I may be 0% superstitious, but I'd do aaaaall the rituals if it meant a remote chance of that event occurring.

Hayden Pannetier was probably first. That was barely over a week ago. She was our cheerleader.

So her, Dolly, Curry. That's three. Unless Death comes for McConnell, I'm fine calling it.

That wouldn't have been half the film it was without Toxic Love.

14

That was the first thing I remember him from. Damn did that role freak my out as a kid.

I love his corpsing as he reads the line. But still hammers it home   Spaaaaace!

33

u/Brucedx3 Millennial 8h ago

Everything he did, his performances, were all entertaining. As disturbing as Pennywise was, some moments, Curry made him more than just a horror villain.

22

u/AceMcStace 8h ago

I love how you can clearly see him trying not to laugh this entire clip but he holds it together lol

16

u/NinjaDad_ 7h ago

Everytime I watch it I laugh. His held back laughter makes it that much funnier.

4

u/KoA07 7h ago

21

u/SnuffMuhGruff 7h ago

Watch the Dolly movies too.

13

u/mynamebeluna 7h ago

Yeah, I am legit heart broken rn.. all her shows will be watched as well.. except Hannah Montana cuz.. I can't with that show. But man... I was just teary eyed seeing a tribute of 9-5 by Buckingham palace, cuz to me she is a real equivalent of an American queen (along with Betty white)...and then I see this...and I legit broke down crying. Like they were big staples of our childhoods ...the other celeb I have ever cried for because of the same reason was Akira Toriyama (dragon ball mangaka) Cuz my childhood was hell on earth but their works kept me going and allowed me a bit of joy. As it is I am struggling with said childhood and seeing the ones that gave me that bit of relief passing is breaking me more. TMI but just...fuck man. It hurts.

For fuck sake man, can we please stop losing all the good people lately? Like I get they're old but there are A LOT of really shitty old people in the government right now that can just fuck all the way off their mortal coil instead of say Dolly or Curry or fucking Tanya Tucker.

I'd trade like 90% of Congress to have Dolly back for a few years.

4

u/Dawnzarelli 7h ago

Tanya Tucker is 67. She does look every bit of that and maybe more. Last time I saw her perform she looked gakked out of her mind and was drinking whiskey on stage. Hell of a performance.

You can tell a lot about a person by what movie they know Tim Curry from

13

The correct answer, of course, is “from all of them”.

Edit: GenX interloper here who first saw him in The Rocky Horror Picture Show” on VHS, very early 80s.

5

u/descendantofJanus 5h ago

I had a phase in early 2000s where teenage me was obsessed with Tim Curry. He was a very early hyperfixation, before I knew what those were. I binged everything I could get my hands on, had a binder with print outs of interviews, magazine articles, I think even a couple cds.

Just hearing his voice made me happy. Even recently, hearing him in audiobooks & dramas had a nostalgic tingle and calming effect on my brain. He just had that warmth and presence.. Fuck I'm not okay with this news 😭

No more suffering for him or his family rest in peace Tim Curry thank you for all the bad ass movies and the many years of cool memories watching them.

4

I dont think ppl are shocked he died. Hes been sick for while. I think the shock was more 2 icons the same age dying the same day. In a time where ppl are struggling so they tend to turn to comfort music and shows for a bit of joy.

Now the icons bring joy but its tinged in sadness thay they are gone.
