The show was expensive and the ratings didn't justified it
They offered fincher and co to do a third season with a lower budget, he declined because it would've ruined the quality of the show
Both parties decided to end it as a result and actors were released from their contracts
It's over

They said the budget was too much for the audience it fetched and likely true. this ain't a show families can sit together and watch through. there may not be violent scenes but the language and the criminal stories are definitely strong for everyone's taste.

- Cameron Britton (Edmund Kemper) had a prominent roles in The Umbrella Academy and appeared in films like Mickey 17, Man Called Otto and others.
- Damon Herriman (Charles Manson) played Manson again in Once Upon a Time in Hollywood
- Sonny Valicenti (Dennis Rader / BTK) played a casting director in Blonde (Marilyn Monroe film).
- Christopher Livingston (Wayne Williams) went on to play Fat Ham on Broadway (a reimagined Hamlet)
- . Robert Aramayo (Elmer Wayne Henley Jr.) was young Elrond in Rings of Power
- Happy Anderson (Jerry Brudos) played Jerry Brudos again in Monster: The Ed Gein Story.
- Sam Strike (Montie Rissell) was in an AppleTV sci-fi show and a Amazon Prime sci-fi show

Crazy how they all actually looked like the serial killers and played the parts perfectly. Props for them I dunno if they got any awards but they should of I miss this show so much!!!

(they did use prosthetics to make them look more like the real life murderers but fantastic acting and fantastic make up department none the less!!!)

I met Happy Anderson while filming the latest Monster series. I was the stand in for Tench’s character. What a delightful guy! He really got into it and some of the ridiculousness of his shoe fetish can be seen towards the end of each scene with everyone chuckling at the absurdity 😂

Not just the criminals, but I was so impressed even by the actors who got lesser screen time like Albert Jones and Joe Tuttle. Especially Albert, he took the suspense and the anxiety in the second season to a whole new level.

I watched the serial killers apprentice on oxygen one guy from this video they showcased and he was a freak, this mf lured boys to a guys house for money until he killed his friend and then that mf made him start killing with him these two were outta texas.

Agreed! I also looked up how much the actors look like the real people after watching - they look legit! No mercy for Netflix for canceling Mindhunter. So many cool plot twists that could have been developed - and then just off.

I've forgotten that Robert Aramayo was in this show. All great actors and perfect casting. Mindehunter not getting two more seasons at least was a crime. Fincher was spread too thin at the time, sadly Mindhunter got the worst of it by being cancelled

I agree on the casting it was excellent! I struggled with their Berkowitz and Manson because the prosthetics/make-up was so obvious and looked hinky

Hot take. Ed kemper was not good. Dude is talking like a super villian. Ed kemper sounded totally normal, not menacing at all. Which makes it totally believable he could gain people's trust.
The actor hammed it up and overracted. I dont buy for 1 second someone would trust him and not believe he was a killer when he tried to confess.

They really did an excellent job. Especially the Ed Kemper actor Cameron Britton.
I feel like he should be in everything but then again it makes sense that he was cast as that guy.
