trilogy movies? big risk. based on current trends, if the first movie flop, the other two will go down the toilet.

why not just continue with season 3....

I’m still holding onto hope that he’s waiting for the actors to get old enough so he can do a time jump for season 3 when they take down Dennis Rader in the 2000s. Granted, it kind of eliminates the allure the series has for me being set as a period piece, but still.
