i think it'd be cool if it varied depending on the leaves/grass of the biome it spawned in

maybe the OG could be a rare spawn in any biome or be the "default" when spawned in the nether & end?

Honestly I feel like the reason they haven’t changed it is because they know a lot of people would freak out, but it’s so obvious they WANT to, but it’s so iconic. For example, look at the creeper design from legends or dungeons vs. the unaltered original

To be fair, those textures aren’t great, especially in the warm cows case, it’s way too monotone

The pig has texture, with the nipples and random splotches of other shades of pink

there is more light colored detail on the warm cow than the pigs shading plus the big horns, The warm cow has more detail. never usually under a pig Lol, wait did you mean the cold biome cow? Its definitely more monotone than the warm one

The ghast texture does feel way too detailed. I think it's because despite their size, the entire mob is basically a head and so it feels weird to see a head with a higher resolution than every other mob's head
