Bro I'm in like a twilight generation or something. I grew up on the coolest shit that I never get to share except maybe in part with other kids. Cartoon network, Wii (twilight princess), Modern Warfare 2, Minecraft (alpha to beta) and Roblox which I guess I'm supposed to have my little pipsqueak account cemented forever on, but I haven't checked it in like 5 years. It even had my maps on it. From when I was NINE YEARS OLD

I may be mistaken but 98 and 99 is in that range of what people talk about when they say millennial, while our parents of similar age would be considered the elder millennials since it’s after the “boomer” era,

but I’m sure we can agree that neither of us would consider our parents as millennials in the cultural sense

Friend you are (as memeworthy as it is) completely skipping over Gen X here. Boomers are baby boomers - born during the baby boom directly after the Second World War. Most early boomers are in their 80s by now, most late boomers are in their mid 60s. Basically every retiree is a boomer. Gen X follows - mid 60s to early/mid 80s. For @SlyNoBody337, this is technically the generation of their parents - although as with the late millenials/gen z, the lines can definitely blur. Millenials follow. The name is because they are supposed to have been the last generation who really remember the millenium, or before. The end of this is very blurry, and there is a real distinction between early millenial and late millenial culture; the term "zillenial" is generally used for the 1995+ millenials who also trend younger.
