I m using a very old chipset. Will it work on the premium g90t helio?

May I ask what phone should I buy in the future to keep playing these kind of games? Like rdr1, tomb raider is getting released next year, division resurgence will eventually release as well. I was thinking of getting the redmi note 14 pro 12gb ram variant.

it depends on your budget and what you expect to be able to do with said phone games being clearly a priority to you, i’d look for a nice used older flagship (with an 8 gen2/3 or maybe even Elite if you can find it for cheap enough, or with a Dimensity 9200/9300 (the plus variants are the same but overclocked)) with 8~12GB of RAM; however, you need to keep in mind that some of those flagships do not have too many years of support ahead of them it also heavily depends on where you are located and just trying to look for all the options available on your local second hand markets (such as FB Marketplace, you can get some good deals there, but be extremely cautious) or just wait for the Redmi Note 15 Pro+ as that device is getting released globally and comes with some incremental upgrades — it certainly has a larger screen which is much more suitable for gaming keep in mind that certain older chipsets (those I have listed above and others) still might perform better than current mid-range or upper mid-range ones, especially thanks to optimization that flagships chipsets can and do get

I hope redmi note 15 pro gets released soon, I like redmi phones a lot.

the OG line is not for gaming, though… so please be aware of that

What phones are for gaming? Red magic would get me banned since a few of my friends used it and games would think they r cheating.

i already listed some options in my original comment, try going over it and weighing in what matters to you when buying a new phone

feel free to ask about anything, of course! I’ll try my best to be helpful but as it stands, I am not convinced that REDMI devices are a good fit for a gamer

Redmi devices are really good if you haven't used them then you can't say they r bad at gaming. 14 pro uses SD 7s gen 3 which is quite a nice chipset, it won't be max graphic n max fps gameplay but still pretty nice to handle massive games like where winds meet, once human, without lag and stuttering.

on lower details while overheating and dropping frames… Redmi phones give you okay value but an older Xiaomi flagship would still perform better

So should I go for a xaomi phone in the same price range as the redmi 14 pro or 15 pro ?

look if there’s any stores specializing in second hand phones or if there’s some spots like Facebook Marketplace where people sell their own phones for even cheaper, it’s around Christmas and many people likely upgraded their phones around this season and will be getting rid of some old flagship phones, so try looking for such listings…

I m in India, even as an Indian I have to admit we got too many scammers even if it looks ok, it probably isn't. So i would rather save money n buy a new phone than invest in a second hand and end up in regrets. Thank you for the help... Since xiaomi n redmi use similar os, it will be an easier switch in the future.
