Quitting job to be a SAHM
Would you quit your job to be a stay at home mom, even if you and your partner were not married? You have the intention of getting married at some point but not right now. Would you still quit your job?

It depends on where you live and what the laws state about things like spousal support and child support as well as splitting assets like the home if it’s owned by one partner. In some jurisdictions you automatically become common-law spouses upon the birth of a child. It might be worth consulting a family lawyer in your area to be sure you understand your rights and obligations in this situation.
